Having the same experiences with purchasing Animal Crossing- no communication at all about it saying delayed and can't even cancel my order.

Yup, and zero communication here all weekend about it. I'm hoping they're getting back to work today to update people on our preorders. This is a $200 purchase in limbo..

Please keep in mind that Best Buy does not make game nor publish them.

 

the delays on the CE is most likely the result of delays on Bethesda's end.

I know other people who ordered from Gamestop and Amazon and their orders shipped. This is a BB issue. And if this is an issue on Bethesda's side, I would like BB CSR to let us know.

I'm in the exact same situation. I got the steelbook Friday 3/20 and the DOOM 64 code but no Rip and Tear Pack and No Collector's Edition.

 

I spoke to someone on Saturday that assured me that they reached out to the manufacturer to update stock - even though it's sold out everywhere, and that I/We would eventually get it. But no explanation as to how or when.

Ordered this June 9th and it's been in 'delayed' status since the original projected release date.

Same issue here. called the store twice, customer service 3 times, spoke with managers. I keep getting the run around. Nobody is being helpful at all or offering an explanation as to why my pre-ordered collectors edition hasn’t come in yet or when/if it will ever come in.

 

They just keep saying “we don’t know what’s going on or why it hasn’t come in yet” and that I can just cancel my order if I want. I’ve heard some people orders just automatically getting canceled too.

 

It’s really irritating that nobody has a clue what’s going on at all. At the very least give an explanation and not “we’ll look into it” and never actually following up or telling me just to cancel and refund. That doesn’t solve my issue.

 

Also I know this is a Best Buy issue because plenty of other people have gotten their CE from other stores. Y'all just messed up BIG TIME.

Doom Eternal Collector's Edition Delay?

It looks like I am not alone in the disappointment of my Collector's edition being delayed. The thing that is annoying me is that there is no communication from Best Buy what so ever. I've tried contacting the store and customer support numerous times and all they tell me is "We don't know where it is". I've had this pre-ordered since June 2019 and you would think they would be smart enough to make sure they have enough copies especially with how long most of us have had it pre-ordered. Mine to this day still says "Pre-ordered, available for pick up Friday, March 20th". Well guess what, it is 3 days past that now and I cannot get an answer out of anybody. Anyone else have any luck?

My order still hasn't shipped. Problem?

I preordered Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition for the PS4 in February and your website said I would get it on launch day which was this past Friday (March 20, 2020). Well I did get something... an empty steelbook case. This was an especially cruel joke as I had just found out I am indefintely furloughed from work so I was excited to at least have this game to distract me during this especially tough time (this version costs nearly 100$ btw). So, when I got this case I thought it was the game and was extremely upset when it turned out to be empty. My bestbuy.com account says that my order was split into two shipments (as to why, I can only guess) and that shipment 1, which contains the actual game, is being prepared (we're getting it ready) and it has been this way since Thursday morning (possibly Wednesday morning). I understand that this is a time of crisis and this all may sound a bit unimportant given the international pandemic but I am just a little curious what went wrong here? Is my order actually coming? Why wasn't I given any information via an email about this delay? If anyone in customer support can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I can't even cancel this order because it is frozen due to the "we're getting it ready" status. I did a quick Twitter search and see that I am not the only one who has had this exact problem so at least I'm not the only one, small comfort that that is. So far I have not had any luck trying to get through to customer service through "traditional" channels such as phone calls or online chats so I'm really hoping I can get some kind of response.

I still haven't received my Preorder for Doom Eternal Deluxe

I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of Doom Eternal for Xbox One back on February 28th and all I received in the mail is the Steelbook. I still haven't received the physical game or the Rip and Tear pre-order bonus that was supposed to be e-mailed to me. When I received word of a shipment delay, I switched my order to in-store pickup but now my store doesn't have the deluxe edition in stock and if they don't have it by the 31st, my order will be cancelled and I'll be screwed out of the pre-order bonus it seems like.

Could someone kindly provide an update as to what is going on? This is the first time I have ever had an issue pre-ordering a game from Best Buy in many years.
