I know how you feel. Your situation has happened to me before with a couple of collector's editions I purchased from Best Buy, spiderman and darksiders III to name a couple. If I remember correctly, I do believe that one was "preparing" and then marked delayed. Truth be told I have never been a fan of they ship preorders. It seems like they do it randomly sometimes or ship the preorders that ordered last and make the ones that preordered first wait till they get more stock from their suppliers. This time they shipped mine very late the day before it is released and I have no idea why. I wish you and everyone the best in getting their copies by tomorrow.

For sure. It's amazing how consistently Best Buy has been dropping the ball lately with pre-orders in general. If it's not issues with the orders themselves it's issues with the pre-order bonuses for the orders, haha. I just got off the phone with CS (2nd time I might add) and after this CSA looked into it he supposedly contacted the shipping department or w/e and I was assured that they were going to be packing my order up tonight and that I'll "definitely" get it tomorrow by the end of the day and to look out for an e-mail with the tracking soon. Either way, as long as it finds its way to me tomorrow then all is good... we'll see if it was just words to appease me or not though soon enough. Fingers crossed.
Also, enjoy the game for us @projectgamma. I heard it's a complete blast to play. I originally was going to get the CE for it but decided I didn't have anywhere to place the talking head lol. BTW did you get the Pre-Order Bonus DLC sent to you? I'm wondering if because of the delay in shipping if that's going to somehow be screwed up as well.

I do not where to put the talking head but I do have company coming and I am sure it will unique for them. As for the preorder bonus, I may have to contact the gaming inbox. I preordered day one way before the bonus was announced so my order does not show it (currently) but with best buy gaming all I need to do is sent in a PM the usual order information to Gaming-BBY inbox . It is not more of "IF" I receive it but when. They are usually pretty good with sending out the codes. I do hope you get it on release day along with the preorder bonus.

So to top everything off, it would appear that I was lied to by Customer Service tonight. I just received an e-mail that my pre-order has been delayed, which is utterly ridiculous. It looks like the 'guarantee' that I was given by the CSA that it's being packaged and will be shipped tonight to arrive tomorrow on release day wasn't true at all. It is entirely unacceptable that a pre-order would be delayed in any capacity not to mention it defeats the entire purpose of having a guaranteed delivery date. On top of everything else, the entire purpose of pre-orders are to gauge the demand for a product and then acquire the requisite amount of it to satisfy demand with a potential surplus to account for overflow.
This isn't okay at all, I'm not happy about this and this better not affect the $10 rewards bonus for pre-ordering the game which is now at the very least stuck hanging in limbo. Looks like I'll be calling Customer Service (yet again) first thing tomorrow in hopes for some form of restitution or a possible resolution to this nonsense. Meanwhile, Best Buy's competitors don't seem to have a single problem with having the inventory on hand...

I placed my order back on April 18th, and I received an email last night that mine is also delayed. Doesn't make sense, especially since the CE was available for pre-order up until about 2 weeks ago, where it then sold out, and then just a couple days ago it was again available for prre-order before going sold out again.

Thanks Sean. Just for clarification purposes, I spoke to a rep this morning and they told me the tentative delivery date is now May 21st as the CE is backordered. Can you confirm/deny this? Mine is a gift for a friend so I am trying to figure out when I am going to do. I'm also sure the others who had theirs delayed would like some info as well.

The collectors edition is back up for ordering as of this message. So people can order now and get it by tomorrow, but those of us who preordered have to wait for an undisclosed amount of time?
