Well take into consideration that companies that sell software get into hot water if you get your game early.
Many gamers lose their shorts if someone gets this or that game 4 hours and 3 mintues before someone else did.
They need to be careful to control the shipping.
Personaly I have been buying almost all my games at BB since 2012 and I have only ever had one game not arrive on release day. And it was my fault for ordering it the day before.

A week in advance or a year in advance it does not make any difference.
I live in Minnesota and often mine are marked as shipping from Ohio.
However, I switched about 5 years ago to always doing in store pick up. It works for me becuase there is a store across the street from my office.
I have seen so many posts about the delivery services denting steel books and such. I just feel better about picking them up.

Hello,
I pre-ordered the new Resident Evil 8: Village game for PlayStation 4 to take advantage of the pre-order bonuses and release-day delivery. However, as of May 9th, I still have not received the game; the release date was May 7th. This is totally unacceptable.
The game was shipped via FedEx, which I have historically had trouble with late or lost packages. I have made this clear before. The estimated date keeps changing day-to-day, from Friday, May 7th to Saturday, May 8th, and now it's pending. What kind of cartoony service is this? I could have purchased this myself and been playing it this whole time to unwind after a stressful week. Now my stress and my frustration are stratospheric due to being out $60 and with no game.
I used to be a My Elite Plus member with free next-day or two-day delivery. I never, ever received my items within the promised delivery window. I am very fortunate I am no longer wasting money towards a meaningless membership title since Best Buy's services are abhorrent regardless.
I would like a full refund for the game immediately so I can purchase it from one of your more reliable competitors. I would like someone to help me intitialize this, please.
