So I pre order biomutant about a month a go yesterday they told me they shipped it and now today. I’m waiting and waiting just to find out they only printed a shipping label and haven’t shipped my game. THIS IS Crap BestBuy can take my money within seconds but can’t give me my purchase on they day of it’s release!?!? Am I the only one this happens to? Or is this just normal business? Help me get some answers

Supposedly, their warehouses are backed up with an influx of orders which caused some delays... They should have planned to ship these pre orders out sooner but with POOR planning on their logistics side they did not plan enough to be prepared to send it out in a timely manner...

They didnt expect so many orders and with their last minute shipping plans for pre ordered games they missed the mark once again.. Covid or no covid they make the same lame excuses.....

WHEN shipping these pre orders its Hit or Miss a 50-50 with all the see retailers suck at getting it to customers DAY ONE.. THEY NEED TO SHIP IT OUT EARLIER AND NOT START PROCESS LAST MINUTE!!!

They need to overwrite the studios STUPID RELEAE day embargoes so if a customer gets one a day early would be ok then many getting it late...

ALL GAME STUDIOS YOU SUCK FOR TELLING RETAILERS TO SHIP LAST SECOND...... BETTER for some to get it early then all get it late... BAD MOVE THQ and Best Buy!

what they need to do is just make it where the game cant play till release day just like if you pre download a digital purchase make it download. they could figure it out and i dont blame the studios cause once they relax it you get stores doing the dumb crap that forced this issue to begin with and selling the game early for profits. I just hate that they dont prioritize anything i get it but if people pre ordered last minute they need to be moved the back of the line.

Welcome to our forums, and thank you for sharing your experiences with us.  Whether you ordered your game months before the release, or days before, we always strive to ensure games customers have ordered with us arrive as close to release day as soon as possible, so it’s disappointing to hear your copies of Biomutant are arriving a bit later than expected.

Try as we might to avoid it, please know there can sometimes be circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from ensuring that 100% of all pre-orders placed with us are delivered to our customers on the date the game is released.  While we’re able to hit this mark a majority of the time, I understand how frustrating it can be when your order arrives late, especially for a game you’ve been looking forward to for some time. 

Going forward, I recommend keeping an eye on your email inboxes for any updates to your order, and I’m optimistic you’ll be receiving your copy of the game soon.

Thanks Sean for the reply and I will try to be patient. I just hope in the future things can improve by anticipating the Pre orders a little earlier to have ready to send out in time and not start printing labels the day of release.

They could at least have it shipped before release day so it can arrive by then. Especially, when Best Buy already has all the Stock in warehouse ready to go. I understand they have many orders with different products other then a game to fulfill, but I feel for whatever the products pre order is for and you have it in Stock then, it should be prepared ahead of time with a Label printed that week before the release day. Again, Not printed on release day.

If they ship Ground which can take 5-7 days or if they do priority like One Day shipping then they should at least have them ready to go out prepared with the estimated days it needs to arrive on release.

It is in Best Buys control to give all Pre -Orders priority to ship and be ready to go out in time..

That Dishwasher order will have to wait Im sorry because they have to get the pre orders out first is how it should work. I still feel like this was in their control and could have had them ready to ship a little earlier to arrive on time.

So here’s an update I called customer service and had them set up a replacement order and asked for it to be picked up in store. I was able to get it but from this experience I will never pre order again with Best Buy. Too much stress and this is the second time this has happend

Im sure your order would have eventually arrived and you probably dodnt have to have them do a replacement which might be faster or not versus your original order.

Your Delay might be faster then going for a replacement and then is the first one considered lost? Im sure it would have shipped eventually.

Anyway, Best Buy is not perfect, but compared to all other retailers I still have the best Experience with them. Once stores can do pick up again then I Like Gamestop and Best Buy for the Old Midnight releases.

I hope we get back to Best Buy doing Midnight releases and not doing Some games or collectors only online really stinks.
