I purchased a copy of Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu as a gift for my nephew and noticed that a steelbook came with it. Unfortunately, when I gave the gift to my nephew, I found out that he already owned a copy of the game. I returned the copy of the game, but left the steelbook with him. When I returned the game, I noticed on my return receipt that I was charged $40. Can someone message me regarding this and why I was charged this absurd price for a steelbook? I look forward to hearing back from someone. Thank you.

Welcome back to the forums.
Under our Return & Exchange Promise, when a product comes with a free bonus, you will be charged the normal price of that bonus item if the original product is returned without it. Because that Steelbook is valued at $40, the amount you were charged is correct.
If there’s anything else I can assist you with, please let me know.

That is not correct. Not only did it list as "A $12.99 value" in the cart, but it also lists as $12.99 on the product page: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/steelbook-pokemon-lets-go-pikachu-and-lets-go-eevee-case/6319184.p?skuI...
You are correct that the policy states that, but there is nowhere on Earth that is accessible to customers that says the value is $40.
This happened to me as well and I am furious and expect an answer. This whole thing has been a huge disaster, and if Best Buy expects to keep me as a customer, they will make this right for everyone.

We really appreciate the conversation on this topic; however, it appears that Kyle has provided our official response to this concern.
