Hello, so I think I managed to preorder a PlayStation 5 using PayPal in the mess last night, but I'm not quite sure. I got the order notification email from PayPal and I got the delivery updates text message, but the order isn't showing up on Best Buy's website or app, any idea if I actually got it?

I've been trying to Pre-Order the PS5 since 8:27 pm est. It's in my cart but will not allow me to check out. Any help available?

Right?  You'd figure that spending tons of money Best Buy each year would win us some favor.  Thinking that Target with a RedCard will be a better way to go for many purchases (or Amazon).  I seriously had one in my cart for over an hour and couldn't check out (screenshot my phone at 7:55PM and 8:32PM).  So agrivating.

Yep, wasn't able to get one either. Best Buy Elite 2020 would have been an awesome perk for early access. Now all of these resellers bought them all up, already on eBay for $1,000s of dollars.

Will we be able to preorder PS5 in store? For the Nintendo Switch I was able to walk in the day preorders were accepted and reserve my Switch, I got it on launch day.

Hoping this is the case for PS5

Dear Best Buy,

I signed up for the "be the first to know:" that the PS5 Pre-order would be available.  I did NOT receive that information.  After my neigbor told me I went on and Pre-ordered the PS5.  It was in my cart, and I tried for 2 hours to complete my transaction.  Then it kicked me out and took it out of my cart.  My son is 12 years old.  He has asthma and cannot to go school due to covid.  This is the ONLY thing he wants for Christmas.  I have been diligent in following this as I knew it would be hard to get.  I can't believe this is even acceptable as I had it in my cart, but your system wouldn't let me pay. It would be nice if someone could rectify this situation.  We have been customers of Best Buy for years.

Hello to everyone,

I have been a loyal elite plus member of BestBuy for countless of years, 10 plus, spending roughly 5 to 10 grand easily at your store.  And I had an experience on your website today that was terrible.

I was ready for the PlayStation 5 Pre-order,setting up myself to make my purchase at BestBuy.com.  And I see alerts with Walmarts PS5 Pre-order go up first, then GameStop and I hold cause I am loyal to BestBuy.  Then Targets presale goes live and I say let me go and make the purchase there just in case, a back up.  I got it with no issues and that’s great.  But I was still holding out for BestBuy cause I am loyal to a fault.  Then I get the alert BestBuy presale is live and I get excited.  Then that excitement gets killed immediately due to issues with your website.  An issue putting items into cart, then issues in cart and then issues trying to checkout.  For and 1 hr and a half I kept refreshing and still was not able checkout.  Finally after clicking the checkout button so many times that I lost count, the site finally told me the PlayStation 5 was sold out.

I am so frustrated that 3 other site handled the overflow of people trying to make a purchase than BestBuy did.  I can’t believe that Bestbuy had a lower inventory than the other companies, cause you are an electronics store first, and they are not With the exception of GameStop.  This experience makes me doubt going to your site ever again to try and purchase any hot ticket item because it seems that BestBuy can’t handle the web traffic.  I think I am going to cash out my rewards points and gift cards knowing I might get the same experience trying to purchase the upcoming Xbox x series or something else in the future.

This whole process was a nightmare. I was hitting Checkout for 2+ hours earlier before it came up and said sold out. Then, at midnight, they were finally back in stock and I got to the Place Your Order screen instantly...and then I had to sit there and click that for just over 2 hours. Luckily, I had some podcasts to listen to while I did it lol. PS4 was a much easier experience. Sony and Best Buy really screwed up imo. Sony for not giving a notice like they said they would, and BB for all the technical issues. This was worse than any Black Friday.

Sorry to double post, but I couldn't find an edit button. Now its doing the same thing at the Place Your Order screen for Spider-Man. That will be easier to pre order tommorow, or even later on. Still annoying though. Worst case scenario I'll just have to play some of the + games we get on day 1. First game I planned on playing is Astro Bots anyway lol. It's one of the best games on VR, imo, so I'm happy to play more.

i think i got it but i'm not 100% sure i had it in my cart last night and than it went through and it's not in there anymore but i never did get an confirmation that i got it though. did i?
