Re: Pennsylvania Doom and Animal Crossing release

Hello ZigZag,

This is all uncharted territory for us, so I apologize for the rudeness on the store's behalf.  When the state government instructs you to shut down, you have to comply.  While your order may have been paid ahead of time, we still have to ring it through our systems, which we cannot do if the store is officially closed.

We are working on how to address orders that are stuck at stores that have to be closed, but it's still in progress, and you would have received an email with more information once that process was finalized.  I'm sorry to hear that you cancelled your order, and that this was the only option presented by the store.  We have documented your feedback here, and while I understand why you would not want to chose to do so in future, it is my hope you'll chose Best Buy for your pre-order needs in the future.

Thanks for your understanding, and I hope you and your family stay well during this crisis.

Sincerely,

Bill|Senior Social Media Specialist | Best Buy® Corporate

I certainly hope that's the case, and soon.  I, too, preordered before my GCU expired, and I don't want to lose the bonus, the discount, etc.  Here's hoping BB comes up with a way to get us our items soon.

Re: Pennsylvania Doom and Animal Crossing release

And within 2 minutes of me posting that, I got the email from BBY about the situation.  I was able to change both items (game and bonus) to shipping, with an arrival of Tuesday.  Hopefully I get both - thanks for the updates.

Re: Pennsylvania Doom and Animal Crossing release

I got the same email about changing to store pickup at another location or shipping my items to me. However neither are an option for me since I preordered the Deluxe Edition of Doom Eternal and it is not available for shipping or in any store within 250 miles of me. Worse I used a 10% off  birthday discount for this on top of my GCU 20% so I'm going to lose both offers.

I don't understand why the copy that is in the store can't just be shipped to me. I don't want to lose my discount on this title.

Re: Pennsylvania Doom and Animal Crossing release

Yeah @Jay, when I cancelled my Animal Crossing it told me that promotional discounts used wouldn't be given back? So I just took the loss of my Discount and went elsewhere. I understand that these are times that are tricky. But even so, it was unfortunate that I had to forfeit my discounts and pre order bonuses if I wanted to play today

Re: Pennsylvania Doom and Animal Crossing release

@ ZigZag what annoys me most is that the Deluxe Edition of Doom is not available anywhere else, so I can't just buy it elsewhere (if it was though, the price difference would be too big). I could definitely wait to receive it if that was an option, but it's sold out at all best buy locations.
