Not receiving download email for digital Purchase

I purchased a Digital Nintendo Switch Online 12-Month Family Membership for Christmas. My order {removed per forum guidelines} states that an email was sent to me with instructions on how to redeem the membership. However, I have not received the email in my inbox or in my spam/junkmail folder. 


I have called BestBuy Customer suport twice - once on Monday, December 31, 2018 and a second time on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Both times I was told that the new email with redemption instructions would arrive in 24-48 hours, and both times those deadlines passed without receiving the email. I would like to know if this is a common problem and if so, how to remedy the situation.

Welcome to the forum!  I’ve thought about purchasing a Nintendo Switch for a few of my friends, but I can’t quite figure out who in my circle would actually use it.  I imagine you’re quite excited to get your hands on this new membership, so I regret the obstacles you’ve encountered thus far when trying to activate it.


First, I’d recommend adding to your contacts or whitelist to ensure our messages are not blocked by your email’s spam filters.  Then, if you can send me a private message that includes the following, I can try to re-send that message to you again:


  • Your full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Order number
