I went to the store and picked up my copy of Monster Hunter Rise and did not recieve a steelbook for preordering. I asked the clerk and asked if I preordered it in store. I responded with yes and was told that there was a system allocation issue and to bring this to the online support.

Welcome back to our forums, and thank you for sharing your experience with us.  I can certainly understand wanting to make sure your SteelBook collection is complete with the addition of your Monster Hunter Rise SteelBook.

While I wish I could provide a different answer than what it sounds like you were given at your local Best Buy store, please know there is not a way for us to provide you with a SteelBook for Monster Hunter Rise at this time.  I realize this may not have been the answer you were hoping for, and I apologize for any further disappointment this news may bring.

To clarify, items offered for pre-order are generally in limited availability, and offered while supplies last.  While we strive to ensure all pre-orders are provided with their bonus items as expected, there can sometimes be circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from hitting this mark.  Once a pre-order item like the SteelBook in question is no longer available, we’ll be unable to provide additional inventory at a later date.

I picked up my preorder for the deluxe edition MHR on Friday 3/26/21 and I did not recieve my steel book case.

At first I was told that you guys ran out of them and I would recieve an E-mail when more come in. A co-worker of mine received a e-mail that our local store which we purchased the game from had his steel case ready for pickup. I myself did not recieve a e-mail but decided to go check up in person. I was then told by staff a different story then what I was told on Friday that being the steel book cases were first come first serve and that I would not be getting one since they ran out. That confuses me because when I went to go pick up my game in the morning of the release date, I was told that the book case didn't ever arrive.

Yeah, I have not received the steelbook. I preordered before the steelbook was added and I was told it would be added as a preorder bonus. It was added, but I have not gotten an email to pick it up. I probably should have cancelled my preorder and made a new one. This thing with the steelbooks with preorders from BestBuy is always an issue. I don't get how some people received the steelbook before the game or vice versa. There's no point in preordering if BestBuy can't even fullfill their orders.
