Let's Get in the Field!

Now that Spring has sprung it’s time to get out in the field. Not the one that you might hear about in Call of Duty, but ones you can till, plant and grow crops in! Tending a farm and raising animals in real life isn’t nearly as fun when you can do at home right from your couch.

The first farming game I ever played was Harvest Moon. When I first started Stardew Valley on my Nintendo Switch, I felt like I had been transported back in time, and was playing the same game from my childhood. Running around my farm, hunting slime monsters, and upgrading my tools has kept me busy for hundreds of hours. There’s still things I haven’t managed to complete!

Now, you might like your farming experience to be a little more grounded. Farming Simulator 19 has over 300 vehicles and tools to help you take care of your crops and livestock. You can even play online with up to 16 players if you get tired of the solitary life on the ranch.

Taking care of a whole farm is a big job with a lot of different responsibilities. Maybe you’d like to spend some time relaxing in digital nature. Bee Simulator lets to take control of a bee and collect pollen, race and even dance with members of your colony to find rare plants.

Finally, we would be remiss to talk about Spring without mentioning one of the most recognizable plants in video game history. The Piranha Plant can jump off your screen and right into your home with this fantastic looking amiibo. You can even get in-game bonuses with compatible games, though I think it’d look great on my desk.

Are there any games that remind you of Spring? Let us know below!

WOW give that game credit for longevity.

I played one of the early versions for quite a few hours. It has been compared to Sim City for its structure and composition.
