Hello, everyone,
The anticipation for Last of Us Part 2 is very real, and I know how much all of you are looking forward to release day! The good news is that we’re not far from release.
As I mentioned previously, our support teams are looking into these emails, and as some of you have seen from the email communication that was sent out, this has been confirmed as an error.
As with other orders that have been impacted like these, here are the things you should know:
I hope you enjoy Ellie’s new story!

This happened to me back in February with my Ellie edition.. Tomorrow was supposed to be the release date for This game before it was delayed to June. The release date before this was February 21st and that's when I received my automated email like you received.
You likely aren't alone in this problem and the mods will soon respond if they haven't already. My order was not cancelled so don't panic. From what I gathered it was just an automated message and nobody's orders were set to cancel.
Every situation is different so I don't want to assume anything but this is very similar to my problem and hopefully will be cleared up just as easily hope this info helps.

I was greeted with this early this morning. I can understand an order being delayed with the tough times we're having right now. What I don't get is why it says you will automatically cancel it if it doesn't ship by the 4th. I am willing to wait a little longer for this item if I have to. As you can see, I ordered it 9 months ago, when the Collector's Edition was announced. It's not exactly something I can just order later or at a different store.
I have been a customer of Best Buy for a very long time. Help would be appreciated here.

This happened to me for Cyberpunk as well. Hopefully, Bill or somebody fixes my order for The Last of Us browsing through this thread because I just got the cancelling soon warning. I did not get the email saying it was an error yet.
I did get one for Cyberpunk and that didn't get canceled yet.... so fingers crossed.
Best Buy really needs to get this problem fixed on a system level. It seems that their shipping dates don't get updated when a product's release date gets changed.

Hi Bill,
I got a text message and an email saying my order has been “delayed”. Now I know this is because this game (The Last of Us: Part 2) was supposed to be released on May 28, 2020, but later ultimately got pushed back to June 19, 2020. When I went on the Best Buy Website and App to check my order status, it states that it is “Delayed” and that if my order can’t be shipped by Sat, June 6th, it’ll be cancelled.
Please make sure it doesn’t get cancelled. I preordered the Ellie Edition and my order number is {removed per forum guidelines}.
