I haven't received my digital code

I ordered a digital code via bestbuy.com. It said it would take an hour for me to receive the email. After waiting hours, I was confused so I went on the internet and saw other people with same problem. The best buy representative said it could take 24-48 hours on the forum post I saw. I don't quite understand why it takes so long but okay fine. I already bought it and can't refund it but it's been about 2 days now I think (48 hours) and I am yet to see anything in my inbox (or spam.) Any help would be appreciated.

I just figured it was automated and be quick like other platforms I have used. (The digital code isn't available on the other ones for a reasonable price so I ordered on bestbuy) It defeats the purpose of ordering it on their site. I understand there's a lot going on in the world but this isn't a recent issue it seems. If it isn't automated, why is that?

Thank you for taking the time to review other conversations here on the Best Buy forum and reaching out with your questions. Buying games digitally is indeed meant to make life easier so I’m disappointed to hear that wasn’t your experience.

 

At this point, I see that you sent a private message with additional information to one of the other forum moderators about your situation. Based on those details, it appears that you ended up speaking with one of our other customer support teams about the code email that you couldn’t find. From the other team’s notes, I see that the code email was successfully resent to you already. I’m very glad that you were able to get this taken care of, but do want to take a moment to speak to you about your concerns here.

 

While our systems are pretty fast in most cases, once an order is placed there will be at least a small wait while the order goes through verification and fulfillment processing. Typically, processing happens quickly, but it can take up to 48 hours. I’m sorry for any disappointment or confusion this time frame may have caused. It’s hard to know what exactly takes so long for verification and other processing as there are a lot of factors involved in each individual order, but I can say that Best Buy works hard to fulfill orders as quickly and safely as possible. I hope this helps! If anything else comes up in the future, please do let us know.
