I pre-ordered God of War Ragnarok for in-store pickup back in August. Currently, it still says, "A release date for your pre-order has not been announced. We'll let you know when it's ready." Will my pre-order be available for pickup tomorrow?

I have the same concern. I know they’ve charged my card. I’m going to swing by the store later to make sure they’ve got it for me. It’s super annoying that you can’t call the store directly, just the call center.

Mine still says "Awaiting authorization" on the Order Details page (have to click Payment details to the right of the barcode). I got an email from Best Buy last week saying to confirm my card details, and everything is correct there. I searched a bit on Twitter and there are a lot of upset people saying their shipped GoW preorders won't get to them until Nov 11th. Curious if that's what is happening here, too.

Welcome back to our forums!  God of War: Ragnarok is easily one of the most anticipated games of the year, and I’m glad you decided to pre-order your copy with us.  I know how important it is to be able to play the game from day one, so I can certainly understand you wanting to make sure everything is good to go with your order.

While we don’t anticipate any issues with your order, we’re also unable to speak in absolutes, so I’d be unable to say with 100% certainty your order will be ready for pickup tomorrow. With that said, I highly recommend you control what you can, so be sure the card linked to your order is correct, the funds are available for when our system goes to charge it, and keep an eye on your email inbox for any updates to your order.  I’m optimistic you’ll be able to pick up your game without any issues, but if you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Same issue here I have god of war pre-ordered it said pick up Wednesday last night then early this morning I checked and im getting the same a release date for your preorder is not yet available like come on don't do me like this one day before less then 24 hours away

So I just stopped by my Best Buy to talk with customer service and I am NOT confident that they have my preorder. They said it’s not in the system. So unless their shipment comes in overnight I figure it’s a lost cause.

Wow that's crazy man im it will def be my last time pre-ordering from there if this happens smh don't oversell without telling people they are backordered ya know have everyone thinking it's gonna be ready and change the date last minute

I was curious about this, so I decided to try changing stores. My pick up store says, “Opens on November 20th”. Confused, I looked on Google, and the Best Buy I ordered from here in Colorado is closed for renovation! I swapped to another store and hope they’ll have it tomorrow. Kinda sad that Best Buy’s system didn’t automatically ask me to move to another location or that the customer service folks didn’t even look into it to notice the problem.

Me neither, no email, no updates. Going in person was no help and neither was calling or the automated text-bot.

I gotta stop preordering collector’s editions from Best Buy. But I didn’t learn my lesson after FFVII Remake or Darksiders III, so I guess it’s my fault. GameStop at least did an early release.
