I am TELLING you, i am employed by the company that gave the news. We have told retatilers in certain regions (including the US) that street date isn't expected to be honored and gave permission to sell early. It was a company wide email

Retro is you "work for Square" and they said its cool for everyone to release why did they just post "2 Days to Go" ?
And feel free to toss a link to an official statement that says anything about American retailers breaking street date and the ability to sell the game early. Whole screenshot or link you, not a cut or piece of a statement.
You won't find it.
And the reason "Two days to go" was posted is because it isn't getting released early digitally, I am not sure why this is so confusing to understand

Why would Square not give their biggest partner authorization to release the game early if they gave the entire rest of the world permission? That's business 101, this is fake news. Until you can produce an official statement anywhere or produce an email that was sent out to Target/Walmart/BestBuy you're literally just making stuff up. You went from "work for Square" to "i am employed by the company that gave the news" which are two completely different things.

Hello everyone,
Sean has already provided Best Buy's official response to this question. Stores that currently are open will be able to begin selling the game tomorrow, 4/9, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Communicationn on this is going out to stores today.
For those of you who had pre-orders you placed for in-store pickup at a store that is currently closed, you'll need to either log in to your BestBuy.com account to modify the order to ship to your home, or call in for assistance. Please know that due to product inventory limitation, some versions may not be available for this option, in which case, you would need to wait for your store to re-open or order a new copy of any available version. This is not how we'd like things to be, but given the current pandemic situation in the US, this is the only options available to us.
If you did your pre-order in-store, you will either have to re-order through BestBuy.com, or wait for your store to reopen to pick up your copy.
As such, I will be locking this thread, and any new posts regarding this concern will be removed as spam.
Thanks for understanding and the conversation.

I am in the exact same boat as you. I pre-ordered in June and want to know where my copy went. Basically my order says it will be cancelled on April 18th if they dont get it in by then. How is the store going to get it in if they are closed past that date. Why weren't we asked for an adress to have it shipped to us since our stores are closed. I think basically we got screwed and sumbody who either didn't pre-order or pre-ordered way after us is getting out copy of the game.

All the stores in NY are closed and I can't change the option to shipping. IT just says the order will be canceled by April 18 and I can't do anything about it. This is so frustrating as nowhere else is selling the deluxe version anymore. Can anyone confirm if the order will be put on hold until the stores open or will the system just auto cancel? I should have had it ship to be instead, I thought they were doing curbside.
