You guys can close this thread. I was hoping for a better answer, but did receive one earlier. I didn't think this would go down hill.

Thank you

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

Trust me I know it sucks, but until SE gives BestBuy the go ahead they can fine the company for releasing a game early, if you'd like to pay an estimated $10,000 per copy for breaking that agreement maybe you can get in touch with someone super high up in corporate to work that out.

Just because other countries are getting the game early due to shipping constraints doesn't mean that everyone has the ability to break street date. I understand people don't comprehend the ramifications behind the scene of breaking a street date and probably don't realize the monetary fines of breaking a street date without a companies permission to due so, but that doesn't change the fact.

Walmart, Gamestop, Target, and BestBuy are all still having to adhere to the original street date. The only reason people are getting their copies from SE early is because it's shipping from OUTSIDE the US and they're trying to make sure that all of their orders are fulfilled, SE is fulfilled by a secondary (horribly managed) company that processes and takes "care" of their orders.

Everyone has been waiting for the game, it's easy to avoid spoilers of any kind if you want to, that's on each individual. Feel free to cancel any preorders, that's each persons right. Trust me you're not hurting any certain company one way or the other, it's just part of the business and is "normal" for people to get upset over things that companies have no control over. We'll all get to play it, and we'll all beat it within 7 days of getting it since we're all in quarantine and then you will have been upset over nothing. Calm down, stay safe, and enjoy it when it comes!

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

Best Buy has a page that states FF7 will be released 1 day early via Curbside pickup. I'm guessing this page is new, because my local Best Buy hadn't heard of it, and I don't think the customer rep here has heard of it either.

"

Pre-order Final Fantasy VII Remake and take it home one day early.

Between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, you can go to a Best Buy store and be one of the first to get this PS4 exclusive.

Pre-order online and select Pick up in cart. Your order will be brought to you using Curbside Pickup.

You can also pre-order the game and have it delivered to your home by release day with free shipping."

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

Good afternoon, everyone,

Glad to see this thread is still alive and well!  As you’ve noticed, the Final Fantasy VII Remake has been added to our Gaming Events Calendar.  If your local Best Buy store is still open, and you’ve placed your pre-order for in-store pickup, you’ll be able to utilize our Curbside Pickup to pick up your order between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time, on Thursday, April 9.  Once your order is ready to be picked up, you should receive an email with instructions on how to do so.

I hope this helps clear up any questions on this thread, but if there’s any additional questions Fey or I might have missed, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Thanks for posting,
