Re: FF7 Remake shipping

They havent moved up the digital release date yet. They have moved the pre-load date to this Friday since Sony has throttled all download speeds for users.

From Square Enixs multiple press releases including the one from Monday include all UK/EU would be getting the copies earlier (this week) and that they were going to make sure copies for the Americas arrived on time or before hand. Again with the phone call I had earlier today I dont know what Best Buy is doing in terms of pre-orders but I am incredibly concerned.

Re: FF7 Remake shipping

I'm in the same boat and here is my info. I've gathered this from the ff vii remake reddit. There is a live chat thread about shipping where all of us worldwide are posting our statuses from various retailers. From what I can gather:

Square Enix store USA has begun shipping pre orders as of yesterday around noon or just before. Several tracking number incoming for those customers.

EB games Australia has broken the street date and is allowing customers to pick up their pre orders at the store or via curbside drop off.

Shop to EU/UK also began shipping to customers yesterday. As well as several other stores whose names escape me at the moment. Mostly EU stores.

Amazon has pushed delivery back by at least 4 days for most ore orders as the est. Delivery date was updated for most last night.

Long story short: Street date is a broken mess at the moment. Can we please get an official response from Best Buy on this? When we call, we are most likely getting canned / scripted messages regarding pre order delivery. It's clear this situation warrants an investigation and update.

Personally I will call my local EB games today as I believe they are still doing curbside pickup. Failing an update from best buy soon I will more than likely switch to a retailer that will ship it early. I'm also pretty worried that my pre order still says I can expect it on March 03 not sure if mine will even be processed because of something like that.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

Good morning, everyone,

Welcome to our Support Forums!  As one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, I can certainly understand wanting to get your copies of the Final Fantasy VII Remake as soon as possible.  I appreciate you all pre-ordering your copies with us, and connecting with us through our forums.

While Square Enix has announced they’ll be shipping Final Fantasy VII Remake early to Europe and Australia, this does not appear to have impacted the game’s release date here in North America.  Should this change, your orders should be updated accordingly, so going forward, I recommend keeping an eye on your email inboxes for any changes to your orders.

Thank you,

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

As what Eyevan has mentioned the street date is already broken. Holding copies arbitrarily just so Best Buy can say they did the right thing and not release early as well will only hurt the company.

Side note, thanks for moving this thread to the proper section. I don't know why I had posted it in the wrong section.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

Here is a thread on reddit where a N.A. package has been assessed duties and taxes.  Meaning it has been processed through customs. meaning delivery release and delivery within the next few business days. If you check out some posts online, you WILL find that people accross N.A. already have or are awaiting their shipments which are in progress for the game.

S.E. did only specify EU and AUS in that post, however it seems they decided to release them all without letting anyone know.

I outlined in my previous post that several N.A. SE store orders have been SHIPPED. so, since it wouldn't take too long for you at best buy to confirm that this is true, can we assume you'll go ahead an release the game for us? some of us have only been waiting 23 years for this release! Smiley Tongue

Also please read all the responses in this Thread which is a live chat for reporting shipping and or delivery confirmations from around the world. Note several posts over the past few days confirming the N.A. shipping release from the SE store.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

I've now preordered at a few different places, best buy had been my first choice. Best buy will be losing sales if they are the slowest shippers. We've been waiting to long for this game to have it delayed again now :/

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

You guys are getting upset with the wrong company.  SE is the one letting other countries get it first.  SE is the one sending out their copies to the US.  No other company is doing this in the US.  Amazon copies seem to likely be delayed due to them prioritizing essentials.  People are questioning whether or not they'll even get their GameStop orders.  Walmart, Target, and all other stores aren't releasing early.  You're trying to bully Best Buy into releasing early, when you should be getting a hold of SE to voice your frustration.  Unless they give the go-ahead, Best Buy is absolutely doing the right thing (and what every other major retailer in the US is doing).  SE is handling this poorly, I agree, so complain to them, not the retailers who aren't supposed to break the street date.

I'm going to be canceling my pre-order with Best Buy soon if I don't get a confirmation they will be shipping out units early.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Early Launch

Best Buy will reap the consequences, not square, or myself. I've got a copy I can pick up if i need to. Obviously I'm choosing to support Best Buy for my own reasons but TBH if they wont come through for me and others when competitors can, I've got no choice but to pick it up from my local competitor Cant say it's the way I'd run things if it were my business But it's not Frankly jm just thankful I'll be able to play soon one way or another
