I preordered The Sims 4 Island Living the day before it released. I checked at 2am release day and it said I would get the code usually within an hour. Next morning still no code sent. Started a chat on Bestbuy and was told " It looks like there is an error due to which the code request is being declined while sending it to you by the backend. We do have an option to get this fixed. All you need to do is just give a call on 1-888-237-8289 so that our phone team can share the key code right away to you.
A couple of hours later called the number and gave my order number. The guy on the phone kept asking what the "Specific item" that I bought was. This confused me because he had my order number that shows what specific item I bought was.
I was not given a code right away like the chat person said. I was told to keep an eye on my email for the code to be sent. Still have not received the code hours later.
I am beyond frustrated that I spent my money on a preorder thinking I would get the code on release day. I could have just gone straight to Origin spent my money there and play it from midnight at release day and time.
Of course I checked my spam folder, the order page, and my digital library still no code. despite being told I could get it right away after calling.

Jun 20: Preordered
Jun 21: Release Day no code. Did a chat, was told to contact the digital department and I would get the code right away. Called and was told 24-48 hours
Jun 22: Did another chat and was told I would receive code "Shortly"..... still no code
Jun 23: 11 am Still no code.....
At this point I'm curious to know how long it will take to get my code to me. I now know I will Never preorder from here again.
