Welcome to the forums and thanks for your Get Famous purchases. I’m sure you were were all excited to load up your new expansion for The Sims 4, and am sorry to hear that you're having trouble retrieving your redemption instructions. 

 

The links you clicked on in your email should have provided you with your download instructions, and you should have received a separate email with your game code, or be able to locate it listed within your Digital Library.

 

This code is redeemable via EA’s Origin platform, where you can download your copy of the game. If you’ve checked your Digital Library, any spam or promotions email folders you may have, and are still unable to locate your redemption code, please send me a private message verifying the following information so I can help locate your code. You can message me by selecting the blue button in my signature.

Sims 4 Get Famous ordered- not available in digital library after 4 days!

I've chatted and called about this issue, and the CS team keeps telling me to wait 24-48 hours. Where is my download code, this is ridiculous!

Good morning!

 

I purchased Sims 4 Seasons (and Get Famous, but I cancelled that item due to the fact I received it as a present) Monday, 11/26, and I STILL have not received the code to download it. I have spoken with customer service online TWICE and have called. The last time I spoke with customer service, which was Wednesday, they assured me my case would be escalated but I STILL haven't heard anything. Can you please look into this and provide the download code? I just want my game and I don't understand how people received their code in minutes but it has been days now since I ordered and I still have nothing.

 

The reference # I was given Wednesday is {removed per forum guidelines}. Please, I would like this code today.

I see my message was moved to a similar thread but I have yet to receive any response. Can someone please respond to me? I would like this resolved today, please. And, yes, I did Private message the customer service rep listed in this thread but it looks like they last posted 11/29. I know its only been 5 hours since I've posted but its been 4 days since I ordered and I would appreciate some real help.

I just wanted to throw this post out there and add to the group of people that have not received their codes for The Sims 4: Get Famous. Let it be known this is after checking my Digital Library, and my Promotions and Spam folders in my related e-mail address.

 

I initially ordered the key on 11/26 when it was on sale for $19.99 and since then have communicated multiple times over multiple days with multiple customer service representatives through the phone line (and even once online through a chat support on 11/28 guaranteeing I would get it that day), and have been reassured various times and various ways that surely my key will get there. Currently, it is as far from "getting here" as it could possibly be, instead just still endlessly processing when I check my order status like it did from the moment I began my order.

 

It's now 11/30 (Soon to be 12/1) and I'm no bit closer to receiving the key or even being provided a reason or gaining an understanding of why it's taken so long.

 

Needless to say, I would appreciate some help.

I am at wit's end. I ordered this expansion pack on Monday at 9AM it is now December 5,  Saturday, 10AM. I have messaged the mods 3 times (one was an error, but still) and none of the messages have been read. I have contacted via Twitter, Facebook, and called support. 

You really want to put a time to your supposedly "1 hour" to receive the key, let's put it in this perspective it has been 96 hours and still nothing. 

 

It wouldn't be as frustrating if there was actually some communication but there is nothing. I understand there are other orders out there, but clearly, you are having many many people with the same issue and it should be addressed or at least TALKED about. 

 

Give your customers some clarity and communication because this is highly unprofessional and straight up rude. 

 

Please, fix your stuff, help us, and give us some compensation for our time wasted.

Today I was finally able to download my software, but it was without the assistance of the Best Buy customer support. I was able to download and get a serial number from the software vendor directly.


My experience with Best Buy's Customer Support is one I do not want to go through again.

Any further purchases of digital content I make in the future will never be done through Best Buy. If anyone I know asks me about buying digital downloads from Best Buy, I will them to run, not walk, away from the Best Buy website!
