I am GCU member as well. I called customer service and was told they did not recieve enough stock from the THQ Nordic to cover the pre-orders. I was not given a time frame on when they would get more but I was encouraged not cancel my pre-order. I was able to get a $20 gift card sent to me in the mail as compensation for the delay.

Hello Everyone –
I see you all have already received emails notifying you that your Apocalypse Edition is delayed, and would like to provide some additional clarification here. To confirm, there is an inventory shortage of the Apocalypse and Collectors Editions of Darksiders 3. We’re working with the vendor to secure additional inventory to fulfill your orders as quickly as possible. At this time, we do not have an ETA on when your orders should ship.
As for the emails you received, when there is an inventory shortage that prevents an order from shipping the system provides notice that if inventory doesn’t become available after 30-days your order will cancel and you’ll be refunded. This is done to prevent orders with unavailable items sitting perpetually unfulfilled. Going forward we ask for your patience while we work to secure inventory, and recommend keeping an eye on your inboxes for further updates on your order’s status.

@gdaversa19 store pickup orders are treated differently from ship to home. If inventory isn’t available to be sent to the store after eight days, you should be automatically refunded.
@Negativ3zero we are not providing compensation for the delay, and cannot speak to what others may have been offered and their unique situations.

My email about Darksiders 3 not being available said that it will cancel my order on the 5th of December if I don't do anything. Do I need to contact customer support or something to get that extended to 30 days?

@DS3AWOL my understanding is that store pickup should be handled the same way, but let me verify this with my support team. Once I hear back I’ll update this thread.

Hey Everyone –
Correction on my previous post regarding cancelation timing for in-store pickup pre-orders. Our support team verified that in-store pickup pre-orders will automatically cancel after eight days, so if your email lists a date of 12/5 this is correct. We apologize for misstating this earlier, and have updated the post.
