Damaged Shining Resonance Refrain Draconic Launch Edition

Hello, I recieved a copy of Shining Resonance Refrain Draconic Launch Edition for the Xbox One, and the collectors edition case itself is damaged (I have some pictures as well), it looked like it might have been just the protective cover, but the actual metal case is damaged as well and it was actually hard to get the game case out of it, which means the item is opened; I contacted the Best Buy support chat and they mentioned bringing the copy of the game to my local store and exchanging it, but my local stores do not have any in stock but mention that you can order it on the website and have it delivered for pickup sometime next week, I was wondering if it was possible to have a copy sent to my store so I could go in and exchange my damaged item for a new one when it is recieved? Or another possible solution similar, as the disc itself did work and I would like to play it while waiting for the item to arrive at the store to exchange for the undamaged one, thank you for reading and for your time!

Welcome back to the forums and thanks for reaching out to us. We never like hearing about products that arrived damaged in shipping, but will be happy to advise you here on your best course of action going forward.

 

I mirror the advice from our chat agent, and recommend returning to your local store to have an exchange processed so we can get you an undamaged copy. Even if your local store does not have inventory on-hand, they should be able to order a copy in for you. I definitely understand your desire to have a copy shipped to the store in advance of your exchange, or to simply have only the exterior case replaced, however, to resolve this your local store will need to process an exchange and have a full replacement copy ordered in for you.
