What's the deal?
My order still says it'll be ready for pickup on December 10, 2020, which is today.
The free steelbook is ready for pick up, but my game isn't. I'm trying to call my local store, but I'm kept on hold indefinitely.
Anyone else in this situation?

I preordered a game and the shipping for the game did not occur until day before release. Now the game is not arriving until day after release, assuming it arrives. Somehow though the steelbook for the game was shipped 2 days prior to release of the game and arrived on the games release date.
This issue will definitely make me reconsider preordering from Best Buy in the future. Very unhappy with how Best Buy has handled this.

I pre-ordered the standard edition of Cyberpunk 2077 and my order is ready to be picked up today (12/10), but I got an email that Best Buy automatically cancelled the free steelbook that was part of the pre-order. Talking to Best Buy support has gotten me mixed messages - one person told me that my physical store should have them and I might be able to get one, and the other said that there was an "inventory issue" or something similar, and that not enough were actually made/sent out.
I'm decently frustrated, as I had no prior indication that the steelbook would be cancelled, and AFAIK there is no way to procure my steelbook if the store doesn't have any. The site still says a steelbook is included last I checked and I'm tempted to order another one and see if the steelbook comes with the second order, and return the first copy.
Has this happened to anyone else and knows if this is an inventory bug/some other issue or am I an isolated case and I'm out of luck as far as getting a steelbook?

That's likely what I'll do. I have to pick up my game after work anyways so I'll have a chat with an employee there and see what happens. If not it's a nice case but I'm not too bent out of shape about it - certainly not enough to make a big fuss
