Borderlands 3 Pre-order not fullfilled

I pre-ordered my copy of Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe over 4 months ago (May 2019) and went in to pick it up Friday evening (release day) after work. I get to the store and surprise they have no copies available. Our warehouse team didn't pull enough copies for pre-orders was the excuse I got. I ask why there is one on the counter on hold. Oh thats for someone else, it's not your copy. What makes their copy more important than mine? I'm told that if I would have came in for the early launch the night before I may have got a copy. Why isn't it still being held then?

 

The associate offers to ship me one by Tuesday (4 days past release) or have it shipped to the store by Thursday (6 days past release). I explain that neither of these is satisfactory, since I gave you money 4 months ago to secure my copy there is no viable excuse as to why it's not available. At this point I ask for a supervisor.

 

He comes over listens to her summary of what's going on, and says he can discount my copy and see about faster shipping. Well it still won't be here until Tuesday since that is "expidited" shipping. What is the point of pre-ordering items if your not going to guarentee a copy being held for you? The group I was going to play with got their copies they pre-ordered from other retailers, so I guess they start without me since I won't have one until Tuesday. I pre-order because I get the gamers club discount, but is it worth it if I'm not getting my copy on release?

 

What happens since he changed my order, will I still get the $10 member reward for pre-ordering? I see a lot of people claiming they haven't got their pre-order gun codes in email. I'm hoping that him ordering through the site doesn't affect my bonuses.

Welcome back tot he forums. Playing a game on launch day is one of the best things about being a gamer. i'm sorry that there was a delay in getting your pre-order to you. 

 

I see that Kam has replied to your Tweet about this as well. We like to keep conversations all in one place if possible, so please reply to him over there if you get a chance. If you prefer to work over the forums instead, please let me know. Either way, we can discuss that order, and see what's up with that bonus $10 and pre-order bonus as well.
