I pre-ordered Mass Effect LE on PS4. Went to pick up the game on release day (store location is Cambridge MA), and they said they couldn't give me the steelbook. I asked why, and they said they had them in the back, but there was a problem with the computer and they couldn't ring it out. I asked if they could just not ring it out since it is a free special item. They said absolutely not. Now a week later still no update, when I call the store no one answers. I get booted to the national help line, and they actually told me "We don't have the ability to call our own stores." What?!
TLDR: Best Buy refuses to give me my pre-order bonus, and customer service refuses to help. I have a sneaking suspicion someone at the store is pocketing the bonus items and selling them, they go for $100+ each on eBay.

Good afternoon, cerpa,
Welcome to our forums, and thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. Whether it’s a SteelBook, DLC, or any other pre-order bonus, it’s always great to get a bonus just for ordering your games early, so I can certainly understand why you’d want to make sure you’re getting the SteelBook offered with your Mass Effect Legendary Edition pre-order.
While I wish I could say we had anything to do with your SteelBook being ready to pick up after your order initial post on our forums, without having access to your order number, I’d be unable to offer any assistance or insights into when it would be ready for you. With that said, I’m happy to hear the SteelBook is now waiting for you at your local Best Buy store, and I hope you’ll enjoy adding the SteelBook to your collection.
All the best,
