Hi. Can you please share what is going on with Battlefield 2042 preorders. I preordered the gold edition digital version as one of the benefits was early access to game launch. Everything seemed ok as I received an email yesterday from BB stating I will get the digital code on 11/12 which is the accurate early release date for the gold and ultimate editions. Today I received an email stating the new release date is now 11/19. BB has also removed the early release date messaging from the language on Battlefield 2042 Gold edition page. I paid quite a bit more money with this edition to receive the early access. Could someone please share what is going on.

The release day was pushed back by Electronic Arts.  

Best Buy won't be able to update you on new dates until they can get confirmation from Electronic Arts.

Hopefully we will get an update on early access. 

However, accoding to what I see. 

While Battlefield 2042 officially comes out for most players in two weeks, those with EA Play or Xbox Game Pass will get it a week early.  I don't have either of those.

Thank you for the information yet this in incorrect. You are referencing a EA play 10 hour trial. The game standard full version releases on the 19th. If you bought the gold or ultimate edition you get full game access on the 12th. Hence I am requesting a response from BB. This info is all over every game site and other retailers have the correct release date of the 12th if you don’t buy the standard edition. BB is the only one that has moved the date. Again I am not referencing a beta or Trial. If you preordered the gold or ultimate edition you are supposed to get the game on the 12th not the 19th. You get the game on the 19th if you only bought the standard version.

BB could you please respond to why the date moved back. The main reason I paid 40 dollars more for the gold edition was for the official early release.

That is only regarding the 10 hour trial I mentioned twice this has nothing to do with the early release of the gold and ultimate editions. That Full access trial has nothing to do with preordering the game. If you are a xbox gamepass member or a ea play member even if you don’t buy the game or preordered the game they are giving you access for 10 hours.

What I continue to reference is IF you bought/preordered the game “gold or ultimate edition” you are supposed to receive the game in hand on Nov 12th. If you bought the standard edition you get the game on Nov 12th.

From what I can tell with my order the code for the game should still come the 12th. Not sure what time on the 12th though. I got the same email stating it was pushed back to the 19th, But that seems to only be for the Steelbook that will ship seperately from the code. Not sure if that answers your question, That is what I have been able to figure out from my own order.

Welcome back to our forums!  We’re just a few days away from the release of Battlefield 2042 now, and sooner for those that have pre-ordered the Gold and Ultimate Editions, so I completely understand why you’d want to make sure your game and SteelBook are arriving on time!  I appreciate you posting your questions on our Support Forums, and I’ll be happy to provide some clarification. 

As it sounds like you’re aware, the SteelBooks for qualifying Battlefield 2042 pre-orders will be shipping separately from the game, and are expected to arrive a few days after the game’s release.  Once shipped, you should receive an email with your SteelBook’s tracking number, so I recommend keeping an eye on your email inbox for any updates.

In regards to the release date of the game itself, it still appears to be releasing on Friday, November 12 for Gold and Ultimate Editions, and Friday, November 19 for the Standard Edition.  If this date changes, you should expect to receive an email notifying you of this update.

Do you know normally when the emails are sent out for Digital preorder codes? Or is it just sometime during the day it should be released?
