Price Match Assistance

Hi,

 

I need some assistance with Price Matching with an online purchase that I did store pickup for.

 

On 4/25/2018 I picked up South Park: The Fractured But Whole - Nintendo Switch. I purchased it for $46.99 because I have GCU ($59.99 – 20% discount = $47.99) and did store pick up ($47.99 – $1 = 46.99). All those prices are before tax.

 

This week, the price before GCU fell to $39.99 ($31.99 after GCU). According to the FAQ questions: “If Best Buy lowers our price during the return and exchange period on a My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked purchase, we will, upon request, apply the 20% discount on the new lower price.”

 

I assume because I’m an Elite Member, I have 30 days for price match. Therefore, my price match refund should be $46.99 - $ 31.99 = $15 (plus whatever tax correction).

 

To add to the complexity, I paid via gift cards (which I don’t have anymore), so I would need another gift card issued for the refund.

While I was able to previously assist you with a Price Match incorrectly processed by our phone support teams, please know that our Forums are not intended for processing Price Match requests. That said, requests can be made In Store, Online via Best Buy Chat, and over the phone by calling 1-888-BestBuy (1-888-237-8289). Given this was a store-pickup order, and that you’re no longer in possession of the gift cards used, I recommend returning to the store so we can process the price adjustment and issue you a new gift card in-person.

Hi Michael,

The reason I went here first was I was worried I’d have an issue sgain. Unfortunately, I have ran into an issue. I did a request online as previously they told me orders for in-store pickup could not be processed in-store (which is odd).

I made a chat request on May 14 and they processed the price match as my order shows “Credits -$16.31”.

I was told I had to call (‭1 (888) 237-8289‬) to get the gift card for security reasons (which seems odd as well). I did call and they told me a gift card would arrive in 10 business days.

It has now been over 10 business days and I still don’t have the gift card. Is there a way you can look into whether they sent one?
