Welcome to our community. I can certainly understand how aggravating receiving the notification that your My Best Buy membership has been cancelled would be and I regret your having to cope with such a situation.
Based on what you've described, it sounds like your rewards account has been cancelled due to a violation of the My Best Buy and Gamers Club Terms & Conditions. Any active points, certificates, tier status, spend total, and GCU membership has been forfeited and cannot be reissued. The full details of this action should have been included in the email you mentioned having received.
While i understand how you would come to make your decision, I'm unhappy to hear that this may cause you to reconsider Best Buy as a future shopping destination. It is my hope that you will give us a new opportunity one day soon delight you.

This is unacceptable to penalize a loyal customer by removing all of their points, rewards, extended returns, and elite status just for buying products. I have purchased a large variety of items over the years, not just video games. This is not good business practice and someone on the executive level needs to review this policy. You have lost a customer for life. Before such an action takes place, if a customer is violating your terms (that can change at any time), you need to inform them before just shutting down an account. There is absolutley no advantage to purchase anything from you at this point.

It's very apparent Best Buy doesn't care so I will be spreading the word to avoid them and just purchase electronics online elsewhere. I just realized in addition to all of this, we returned an item that was paid for partially with a reward certificate. We were told we would receive the reward credit back on our account (essentially refunding the purchase). Do you think that ever happened? Absolutley not. I am still is awe over this situation and haven't heard a peep from anyone and no responses to my emails to Best Buy corporate. BEWARE!!
