I used to really LOVE BestBuy. I was a loyal customer, recommended it to everyone and was also an ElitePlus and GamersClub member. I went to BestBuy every week because I loved shopping there. Now I hate it. It all started when I went to buy a new game for my PlayStation and was told that my GamersClub had expired two days ago and that I could not renew it. I did not receive any notice (possibly the spam filter on my email server had blocked it.) Just two days past expiration and I could not renew. Later, I tried to renew the GeekSquad service for a Wacom drawing tablet. That had expired just a couple days prior (again with no notification from BestBuy) so they would not renew that either. Then I tried to renew the GeekSquad service for my PlayStation VR. This time, I was early. It still had 90 days, and was too soon to renew. They told me to come bac in a few months. I went back about 90 days later (again, no notification from BestBuy) to find that it had expired just 4 days ago so they would not renew it. Why can't BestBuy treat their customers like customers? I bought an Alienware laptop, and Asus laptop, 2 Toshiba laptops, a refrigerator, 2 Playstations, PlayStation VR, Occulus VR, Logitech Racing wheel, microwave oven, dehumidifier, vaccuum cleaner, Wacom drawing tablet, countless games, DVDs and USB hard drives, and things I don't even remember. Plus, I always pay my BestBuy credit card in full each month. I never received any notifications that any of my service contracts were about to expire. I go on my own accord to try to renew them when I think it's getting time, and miss by just a couple of days. BestBuy doesn't care. They don't care if you're a loyal customer, they don't care if you don't get the notices they send, they don't care about anything except how they can NOT give you service. I hate BestBuy now. I will never buy from them again, I will discourage anyone I know from buying there and I will cancel my BestBuy credit card. I know that isn't going to hurt BestBuy, but at least I will get *some* satisfaction by separating myself from this heartless company. You will never be able to compete with Amazon if you won't even go an extra inch for your customers. Very sad.
