Re: Gamers Club Unlocked being discontinued

Sorry did not know I could not edit the post, fixed spelling mistakes:

My GC was cancelled without warning so I am upset about that but I am more upset that my Reward account was cancelled and I lost Elite Plus status and $155 in rewards. What makes me mad is that BB said I violated GC so cancel that, why cancel my Elite Plus. One has to spend $3500+ to get Elite Plus status. BB is a cheating by canceling rewards account so I lose elite plus, rewards, and I now have to spend another $3500+ to get to elite plus. Rewards account was nothing to do with GC and if there was a violation then why offer to reactivate rewards account right away but with 0 points rather to ban or close of accounts. We lose the $30 paid for GC, $3500+ spend for elite plus status and rewards points accumulated.

Re: Gamers Club Unlocked being discontinued

Since GCU I have started using BestBuy more. In fact I had been recommending BestBuy to friends over Amazon or other online sources due to better customer support, and ability to price match if there was a difference.

Now all is lost. For example, there is no more record of the Dyson we purchased, nor the tablet my brother bought on their system, no history of toys, dvds, usbs, printer supplies, and everything else we bought from them. The points are of course gone as well, and any sense of customer loyalty with them.

I believe the individual personnel on floor are still great. However due to the way BB corporate has treated their long time customers in this fiasco, I could no longer recommend them to friends with good conscience.

Re: Gamers Club Unlocked being discontinued

The fact many people are reporting their ENTIRE PURCHASE HISTORY being removed indicates to me a malfunction in their database more than anything.

Re: Gamers Club Unlocked being discontinued

No Michael. It's not a computer malfunction. It's a malfunction of best buy and it's leadership. You must be in denial or work for the company to be this nieve of the situation. THEY'RE COMMITTING FRAUDULENT ACTS.

MichaelG Ok, since you have so much blind and ignorant faith, just go to the store and buy/return four copies of any game; then lemme know how things work out for ya champ.

How I went from love to hate for BestBuy

I used to really LOVE BestBuy. I was a loyal customer, recommended it to everyone and was also an ElitePlus and GamersClub member. I went to BestBuy every week because I loved shopping there. Now I hate it. It all started when I went to buy a new game for my PlayStation and was told that my GamersClub had expired two days ago and that I could not renew it. I did not receive any notice (possibly the spam filter on my email server had blocked it.) Just two days past expiration and I could not renew. Later, I tried to renew the GeekSquad service for a Wacom drawing tablet. That had expired just a couple days prior (again with no notification from BestBuy) so they would not renew that either. Then I tried to renew the GeekSquad service for my PlayStation VR. This time, I was early. It still had 90 days, and was too soon to renew. They told me to come bac in a few months. I went back about 90 days later (again, no notification from BestBuy) to find that it had expired just 4 days ago so they would not renew it. Why can't BestBuy treat their customers like customers? I bought an Alienware laptop, and Asus laptop, 2 Toshiba laptops, a refrigerator, 2 Playstations, PlayStation VR, Occulus VR, Logitech Racing wheel, microwave oven, dehumidifier, vaccuum cleaner, Wacom drawing tablet, countless games, DVDs and USB hard drives, and things I don't even remember. Plus, I always pay my BestBuy credit card in full each month. I never received any notifications that any of my service contracts were about to expire. I go on my own accord to try to renew them when I think it's getting time, and miss by just a couple of days. BestBuy doesn't care. They don't care if you're a loyal customer, they don't care if you don't get the notices they send, they don't care about anything except how they can NOT give you service. I hate BestBuy now. I will never buy from them again, I will discourage anyone I know from buying there and I will cancel my BestBuy credit card. I know that isn't going to hurt BestBuy, but at least I will get *some* satisfaction by separating myself from this heartless company. You will never be able to compete with Amazon if you won't even go an extra inch for your customers.  Very sad.
