So I just spent enough to earn me the Best Buy Elit status for the first time ever. Well here's the thing. I thought that the calendar ended in December. Nope turns out that it ends in February, so does that mean that I lost my Elite status after only less than a month of having it because it so that doesn't seem fair to the customer at all?

Hi there Treveyon,
Welcome back to the forum, and congratulations on reaching Elite status! It's great to hear you just made a purchase, and so early in the year.
It seems there may be some confusion surrounding time frames though. As far as spending for tier statuses go, it is based on a January through December calendar year. Tier statuses do expire at the end of February, each year though. In your case, if you just spent the amount to reach Elite status in early 2019, you should receive Elite benefits through 2019, and 2020, as everyone should receive one full calendar year of benefits. This tier status would then expire at the end of February 2021 if you didn't requalify.
I hope this helps clarify your spending and what you can expect from your benefits. Below are some links that you may find helpful.
