Spent over $3,500 in 2019, downgraded from Elite Plus to Elite

[ Edited ]

Something isn't right and I'm not sure where to go or who to speak with. I spent well over the 3,500 needed to maintain my Elite Plus membership for 2020 but I've been downgraded none the less. It looks like one purchase ({removed per forum guidelines}) was not included. What can be done here?

Re: Spent over $3,500 in 2019, downgraded from Elite Plus to Elite

Hi, loudmog,

Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for connecting with us.

You have come to the right place!  We can review your purchase history from the 2019 calendar year to determine if requalified for Elite Plus status or not.  As you know, you would need to have spent $3,500 on eligible purchases between 1/1 - 12/31 to requalify for Elite Plus status.  Just keep in mind when looking over your own purchase history on BestBuy.com that sales tax and any portion of a purchase that was paid for with a gift card or certificate is excluded.

Now, if a purchase is not attached to your rewards account, then we can certainly look into reporting it as missing, and if that purchase were to push your 2019 total over $3,500, then upgrading your status back to Elite Plus would be the next step.  Before I can review your rewards account, I will need to gather some additional details from you.  Please send me a private message with the details listed below, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and I will see what I can do to further assist.

Receipt pin # (for missing purchase)
