I have been elite and elite plus for several years in a row. This is the first time I do not have the elite status and because of the COVID-19 pandemic wasn't been able to go to the Best Buy store until know, but the certificate is already expired. It's just sad that a big company like BestBuy hasn't taken into consideration the extension of these reward certificates during these difficult times.

Hello, kebrank, and welcome!
Thank you for registering with the forum to reach out regarding your expired My Best Buy certificate. I know I hate to find I missed out on redeeming a reward certificate, and under the current climate, I can understand how redeeming rewards may not be at the forefront of many customers' minds.
Our My Best Buy Terms advise that certificates typically have 60 days to be redeemed, unless otherwise noted. Once expired, we’re generally unable to reissue them. While many stores only operated as Curbside Pickup or were closed entirely, our My Best Buy certificates have always been redeemable on BestBuy.com as well, so these expiration dates were not extended. As we never want customers to miss out on redeeming a certificate, we do send out email notifications that include the expiration date when a certificate is issued. As emails may be filtered, overlooked, or even blocked though, it is always recommended to manage your rewards from BestBuy.com. For more details, you may find the posts below helpful.
I would like to see if we can set you up for success with our My Best Buy program going forward though, so please keep an eye on your inbox in the top right corner of the page. I'll be sending you a private message shortly.
