Recent BBRZ Visa promotion for 10% back in rewards for grocery purchases that ended 8.31.20

Have not received promotional points for the Visa Best Buy card grocery promotion that ended 8.31.20. I have called the “Elite Plus” customer service number 3 times. First 2 said they were opening a ticket and should receive points soon. 3rd call found out never any tickets opened and the rep - after keeping me on for 20 minutes - finally said he couldn’t help me. What a complete fail in BB’s end. Not sure why I have a card I have to fight with to get my points. With this type of customer service, I will be finding a new credit card to use. No reason to have a card that is useless. Very disappointed after being an Elite Plus member for so long

Welcome to our community forums. The My Best Buy credit card is a great way to get access to promotional financing as well as bonuses like this. I would be more than happy to see how I can best assist you.

 

Typically, promotions such as this need to be activated via a link you'll receive via email. Points will then usually post to you account 45 days after the promotion ends. Since it's been past that time, I'd like to take a closer look at your My Best Buy account.

Thanks.  Fully aware of how it works as have been member for several years and have gotten prior promotional points every other time. I activated the offer from the home page as always and every subsequent log in showed promotion was active. Not only do I still not have the points I earned, but was lied to on 3 separate phone calls to the "elite plus" customer service line. Absolute waste of time.

After several back and forths with BB via private messages on this forum, I was told there is nothing they will do and now won't respond abck to me.  I have been a Best Buy Visa card holder for several years and am blown away that an Elite Plus member would be treated this way.  When you choose a credit card, you typically choose based on the rewards offered.  This is the case here - I chose this card to receive points to use for the several purchses i make at Best Buy.  When the card does not award the points and causes the member to literally waste hours trying to rectify, there is no reason to use that card.  Pure fraud as they have profited handsomely from my monthly credit card purchases and purchases at Best Buy.  There are plenty of rewards cards to choose from and I will now be moving from this card.  I will also find a new store for my elctronic and appliance needs.  A head scrtcher as to why they would rather push someone away than keep a loyal member.

As we've mentioned before, the points, while not displayed in your rewards history on BestBuy.com, have been awarded and are currently reflected in your balance.  The display error is a known issue and is being reviewed by our My Best Buy team.
