Re: Elite Plus and Tax Exempt purchase

I always thought this policy was weird - if I spend $10-20K in a year at Best Buy, who cares if I'm legally reselling it.  Why not give me the reward certificates like anyone else spending that much money?

Curiously, I just inexplicably received a $15 reward certificate, which is the first one I've received in several years.

I wonder if they changed their policy?

Re: Elite Plus and Tax Exempt purchase

Hi there, praetas,

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for reaching out regarding the My Best Buy certificate you recently received. I know if I received a certificate when I usually don't even receive points for purchases, I would be inquiring why as well.

Currently, there have been no recent changes to our My Best Buy Terms. Under these terms, points would not be awarded for purchases made for resale. I imagine you received this certificate as a few purchases of yours may not have been marked as for resale, thus allowing points to be awarded.

We greatly appreciate your feedback regarding these terms. Should you have any other concerns or questions, please let me know.

Thank you,
