I made an in-store purchase (with a Geek Squad Plan) yesterday, and the associate selected the wrong My Best Buy Member ID during Checkout. Apparently, it was because my phone number is also used on a secondary account that I rarely use for Best Buy Business.
My primary account has Elite Plus status, and I would like the purchase to be credited to that account. My primary concern is that I will lose the 45-day return period, and potentially lose track of the Geek Squad Protection plan if it remains on this alternate account. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not having the purchase tied to your rewards account with Elite Plus status could cause problems should you need to seek a return/exchange, as our register system wouldn't recognize your extended 45-day return/exchange period, so I can understand wanting to move the purchase. The only problem with that is it isn't an option we have. Once a purchase is attached to a rewards account, it can't be transferred to another rewards account. If you do have two active rewards accounts, then we could look into potentially merging them.
