Hi I got an email stating that my Best Buy membership and gamer unlocked was canceled for buying more than 3 copies of a game in a year, I went to my local store months ago and was told I didn't have gamer unlocked anymore...so it makes no sense to me that I get in trouble for that but anyways I don't understand why your system doesn't do a discount on 3 games and the fourth+ at regular price...I have a big family so buy 5 games at a time sometimes not often.
My question is, is there any way to get my elite plus status back ? I've been elite plus for years, spent thousands at Best Buy I don't see it fair being kicked out for buying some games from you guys. But anyways I just want to see if anything can be done or should I just buy from Amazon, Walmart and Target from now on?

Good afternoon, Fingers,
While I have never actually lost Elite Plus status, I feel like I have lost when I fail to reach Elite status year after year. There are really only two ways a member can "lose" their Elite or Elite Plus status. First, a member doesn't spend the required amount (Elite - $1,500 & Elite Plus - $3,500) by the end of the calendar year resulting in the expiration of their current status. Second, a member violates a portion of the My Best Buy™ or Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) terms, which results in the cancellation of their rewards account. Based on your description, it sounds like your rewards account was cancelled due to a violation.
If that is the case, then any active points, certificates, spend total, GCU membership, or tier status in your rewards account would have been forfeited up cancellation and cannot be reissued. You can certainly obtain Elite Plus status again by creating a new rewards account and spending the necessary $3,500 prior to the end of the 2020 calendar year. If you have any other questions about your rewards account or the My Best Buy™ program in-general, then please feel free to send me a private message and I will see what I can do to further assist. As mentioned in my original response, all active points, certificates, spend total, GCU membership, or tier status (Elite or Elite Plus) in your rewards account when it was cancelled would have been forfeited and cannot be reissued. Any purchase of a video game that was eligible for the GCU 20% off discount would have fallen under the limit of three umbrella. The decision to cancel a member's rewards account is not done in haste and will generally take more than one violation of the limit of three before the cancellation is actually carried out. Feel free to send me a private message if you have any other questions.

I am not showing the GCU discount is still being reflected. I tested your new rewards account by adding a random non-sale video game to your online shopping cart and the 20% off discount isn't reflected during checkout. You way want to try logging out of your rewards account and clearing cache/cookies.
