Missing points

I've made quite a few purchases since the beginning of the year, and most of them were over 30 days ago and my account still shows ZERO points towards my elite status. I should have already reached elite status, I've already purchased 2 laptops each at 600 a Piece and quite a few other big ticket items. How do I go about getting the points I am owed? Also, when your on my account purchase's page it shows everything that I have boughton. Just not the points from those items I bought. Should I email customer service or? Because I need to return something and i am just over the 14 day mark but I should have 30 days regardless. Please help!

Re: Missing points

Good afternoon, Isabellboone,

Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for connecting with us. Smiley Happy

Each and every point plays an important role, especially when a single point can stand between you and that next certificate, and if it's your goal to reach Elite status, then I can understand wanting to make sure your rewards account is accurate as you can earn more points with a higher status. I've tried to reach Elite status for years but always fall short.  As far as points, it can generally take up to 20 days for points from an eligible purchase to officially post with your status determining how many points you would receive.  If you had core/standard status and purchased a laptop with a pre-tax total of $600, then you should receive 300 points.

Now, when it comes to your spending total, the same 20-day time frame would apply for an eligible purchase to reflect.  It would also take 20 days after spending the required $1,500 for your status to be upgraded to Elite.  I'm wondering if maybe your spending total has gone negative, which is possible if a return is processed.  For example, if a purchase made in 2019 were then returned in 2020, then that return may reflect in your 2020 spend total.  I'm going to send you a private message shortly so that I can take a closer look at your rewards account, which you can read by clicking on the envelope icon at the top of the page.

Best Wishes,
