Greetings, Pcayson, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
Congrats on reaching Elite status! It does look like you were within inches of the finish line in 2018 but easily made it over the hump this year. I have been trying to reach Elite status every year since it was first introduced but always seem to fall short, and trying to convince my wife that we need to buy new electronic toys hasn't gone over so well. Just have to keep trying though.
The information Shindig24 provided is correct. You should have Elite status for the remainder of 2019 and all of 2020 with it expiring at the end of February 2021. If you were to spend $1,500 on eligible purchases during the 2020 calendar year, then the expiration date would be pushed out another year. I have provided a link below where you can read over the benefits that come with having Elite status, such as the option to bank points. Let us know if you have any other questions.

When my second kid came along, I had forgotten about all the extra little things we had to get! My children are seven years apart. Spending money at Best Buy wasn't really in my playbook either, however, we do have a lot more items for babies and children now! Including car seats, pack-n-plays, and even baby swings!
You also could check out our My Best Buy Visa Credit Card that you can use outside of Best Buy on those diapers, while still earning spend towards Elite or Elite Plus! WIN! Let us know if you have questions.
Congrats on the coming new bundle of joy!
