Elite status shoppers no longer get mystery rewards coupons?



I frequent a lot of shopping and deal sites and always see when Best Buy sends out Mystery Rewards emails.  Ever since I became an Elite member and did a bit more of my shopping at best buy, I have yet to recieve any more of these.  Speaking to others about this, it seems as if its not geared toward your high spenders but your lowest ones.  Any way to include us higher spenders into this?  I haven't gotten a email coupon in over 2 years yet every three or so months this promotion runs its course.  I'm tired of missing out Smiley Sad

Who can't use an extra certificate?  Even if just $5, that is $5 still in your pocket.  We did recently send out another batch of Mystery Certificates to a random selection of active members, which are valid until 1/19.  That selection process is entirely random and is not solely based on a member's status.  While some members with Elite and Elite Plus status are likely to have received a Mystery Certificate, members without one of those higher statuses also likely received a Mystery Certificate.  There is no guarantee who might receive one.  I have been a member for 10+ years and have never received a Mystery Certificate but still always double check my email when I hear we sent some out.


We tend to send out Mystery Certificates about two to three times throughout the year.  Are you opted in to receive promotional emails from Best Buy?  If not, then that could potentially prevent you from being randomly selected.  You may also want to consider adding to your contact list and remember to double check any Spam/Junk or Promotional folders you may have.  If you would like to double check that you are opted in, then please feel free to send me a private message with your name, phone #, and email address.  A private message can be sent by first logging into the forum and then clicking on the blue button in my signature labeled "Private Message."
