Elite membership returns

Hello,

I purchased a 75”tv for 2200 dollars, which made me an elite member, I spoke to customer service and they verified I am an elite member and I would be able to return the tv within 30 days. So I brought it all the way back to the store after being assured I had 30 days to return the item and when I got to the store they took the box apart and tested the tv and then when they tried to do the return they informed me I could not return it due to the item I was returning is the same item that made me elite status. The manager at the store walked off into the back laughing with her colleague so I’m wondering why I was treated so poorly and why I cannot return the item as I am currently an elite member. The staff was very unhelpful at the Levittown by branch I had purchased it from and was told to call a number if I’m not happy but I can’t seem to get an answer after calling for 2 hours and being transferred countless times. So again my question is how am I not allowed to return the tv within 30 days as I am currently an elite member. Thank you in advance for the help.

To start, our return and exchange policy is based on tier status at the time of a return request, so if you are now Elite, then you should have 30 days to return your TV. In addition, our extended holiday return policy is currently in effect, and most purchases made October 13, 2020 through January 2, 2021 have an extended return period through January 16, 2021.

 

Regardless, we'd expect you to receive the support you were looking for when you visited your Levittown store, and I hate to hear about the treatment you faced there when inquiring about this return.
