Like I am just curios.. what makes us different from others who barely shop at Bestbuy? If I order something, it takes days to deliver (never had it delivered within 2 days, NEVER), sometimes it takes over a week. There is no (real) dedicated customer service line, even the one provided on the account, when I call them, they always direct my call somewhere else, and back to normal just like any other customer, waiting in long lines and going to a general customer service, not dedicated one. We don't have special headsup on pre-orders at all, like the chaos we saw a few days ago with Playstation 5. There is no such thing as Birthday Gift, I never received one, but it's out there on the list of being an elite plus.
So why am I spending +3.5k/per year to get this? I need answers to what I have listed above, not a general response.

I'm more than happy to review your rewards account with you or go over the benefits offered through the My Best Buy program based on your tier status; however, it's ultimately left up to you to determine what having Elite Plus status means to you, as it can mean different things to different members. I've personally been a member of our free rewards program for almost 15 years, and while I've yet to achieve Elite or Elite Plus status, I still enjoy earning points for the eligible purchases I make and saving a few dollars when I can by redeeming certificates. I'd like to someday reach Elite status to earn more points for each purchase, and I also quite like the sound of banking my points.
* Members with Elite Plus status are eligible for free 2-day shipping on most items; however, there are circumstances that may cause deliver to take place after two days. You can read more here.
* Members with Elite and Elite Plus status to have access to a dedicated phone line, which is intended for My Best Buy related questions. If you call the line with a delivery question, then there is a good chance your call will be redirected to a dedicated team to help with delivery concerns. The line wasn't intended to be a one-stop place for anything and everything, as we have teams that specialize in certain aspects of the business.
* As far as pre-orders, the decision to make an item available to a smaller section of customers earlier than everyone else isn't our call. That is something the manufacturer of the item would decide. If the manufacturer rather have their item be available to everyone at the same time, then that's how it goes.
* The 10% birthday bonus coupon is sent to a random selection of members who happen to have a birthday tied to their rewards account. I've maybe received one birthday coupon since enrolling in the rewards program. It's not solely based on tier status. The same can be said for our Mystery Certificates that are occasionally sent out. Not every member will receive one, and they are not issued based on a member's tier status.

I have been an Elite Plus member with Best Buy for years and have seen zero benefit from this program. Just wondering if anyone else receives any value I am not aware of. You would think that having an Elite Plus Status would entitle you to early access to certain events such as Pre-Orders or Black Friday Sales, etc, but it never is the case. It was disappointing that Elite Plus didnt get first crack at PS5 or XBOX pre-orders recently as an example, although with how badly both were handled by online stores and crashing their systems (Like they have never had mass sales before), it was pointless anyway as you couldnt get an order processed fully. Best Buy, if there is no advantage to purchasing from you and spending extra money yearly to get status, why shouldnt we all just buy direct from Amazon or other retailer.

It looks like you asked similar questions back in 2013 prior to the release of the PS4. Please take a moment to read my response above with regards to members who have Elite and Elite Plus status getting first dibs on pre-orders. It simply isn't a decision that is left up to Best Buy to make. If the manufacturer, in this case Sony and Microsoft, doesn't want a subsection of the customer base to get early access to an item they expect to have high demand, then it isn't likely to happen. The gaming world is very diverse, so it makes sense for the manufacturers to want all customers to have the same access.
As far as Black Friday, we've had an Early Access event for our Elite and Elite Plus members for at least the past 10 holiday seasons, and I'd expect that trend to continue this year. We generally don't release details about the even this soon, so I'd encourage you to stop by the forum in November.
