I am currently looking forward to pre-ordering an Xbox Series X console on 9/22
I currently have 21,000+ RZ points banked, for over $400 of credits
Once I redeem these credits to certificates I will only have I believe 30 days to use them
My concern is if I redeem these in preperation of the Series X pre-order, and the site has the same issues as it did last night for the PS5, I will be left with $400+ of RZ credits, and nothing to use them on
I am looking if anyone has any ideas here, or even if BB can chime in possibly on any prep for the Series X release, or if there is anyway to convert certificates back to points, in the case that the site has the same issues it did for the PS5 release

Welcome back to the Best Buy forum.
I can't even begin to imagine having banked 21,000+ points, as I simply have very little patience, but you must be saving up for something specific, and the upcoming release of the Xbox Series X seems like the perfect time to unload those points and keep some money in your pocket. While I really can't comment on any potential issues that could arise when pre-ordering goes live, I can confirm that certificates can't be converted back into points once having been generated. Also, a certificate comprised of the points you are awarded will generally be valid for at least 60 days, unless noted otherwise on the actual certificate.
If something where to happen preventing you from being able to place a pre-order and you have concerns with your certificates, then feel free to send me a private message, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and I'll take a closer look at your rewards account. Just make sure to include your name, phone number, and email address. I'd strongly suggest converting your banked points into certificates a day or two ahead of time to ensure you are prepared for when pre-ordering is live. Let me know if you have any other rewards program-related questions.
Can I convert a reward certificate back into points?
No. Once a reward certificate has been issued, you must use it toward a purchase at Best Buy or BestBuy.com before the expiration date.
