Close to Elite Status

Hi, I made some large purchases in August and thought I would be Elite Status. When I checked online it stated that I was not, so I called this morning and the gentlemen noted that I was $2 away from being Elite. If I purchase something today, will that put me into Elite status for the early Black Friday deals on Sunday? If there is any assistance you can provide it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Greetings jpeezy13, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,

 

Only four days remaining until the Black Friday Early Access event!  It feels like November is flying by.  I have been trying for years to reach Elite status but always seem to fall short.  Just need to convince my wife that we should buy more stuff, but I don't think that plan will work very well though.  I still really enjoy helping monitor the event even if I don't get to participate.

 

A member would need to spend $1,500 on eligible purchases within a single calendar year to qualify for Elite status.  Once having spent that amount, it can take up to 20 days for a member's status to be upgraded.  It would be unlikely for you to have Elite status by Sunday if you were to make an eligible purchase today seeing as you would need to have Elite status by the start of the event in-order to participate.  Please keep mind that we do intend to have two additional days of Early Access for all members on Monday and Tuesday.
