Best Buy outright refuses to accept my membership

No matter how much I spend, the store in Stroudsburg refuses to let me use my membership.

- I give them my email

- I give them my phone number

And they say I can't use my membership.

This program is a SHAM. It's sad when a company refuses to let you use your membership.

I feel discriminated against, and I feel as though this is intentional because I spend too much.

I've even tried calling, and they say they can't do anything. They say to keep trying at the store. Well, this is a serious problem. Everyone else is benefiting from the perks of spending a lot, except me.

Who else is being refused their membership when they make a purchase?

Re: Best Buy outright refuses to accept my membership

Greetings, LX, and thank you for connecting with us on the forum,

Ever since the rewards program expanded from two tiers to three tiers back in 2013, I have been trying to reach Elite status but always seem to fall short.  I tend to keep a tight grip on my wallet.  It's hard to argue with not being upgraded to Elite status when I can't spend the required $1,500; however, I can understand feeling frustrated if you have exceeded the $3,500 needed to qualify for Elite Plus status but still haven't been upgraded.

A quick glance at your history reveals that the entire issue at hand may simply have to do with the email currently associated with your rewards account.  Let's take an even closer look at your rewards account to see what options might be available, and to do so, I will be replying to one of the private messages you sent me so that I may gather a few additional details from you.
