Account was hacked into and $110 Reward-zone certs were Stolen

Dear Best Buy,


I reached out a week ago due to my account being hacked into and unauthorized purchases being made using my reward certificates. 
Not a single fail safe was in place to protect my account from being compromised. 

I spend $1000s of dollars with Best Buy annually and to have something like this happen to my account is unacceptable. 

I was told that this would be investigated and I would be reached out too for a resolution. This was  1 week ago when that happend. My rewards are still missing. 


I am very upset about this breach in trust. 

Please do something to make it right and to make sure it never happens again.

@Derek-BBY I saw you looked at my post. But I have not recieved any correspondence regarding this. 

Does Best Buy not care that my account was compromised?

Welcome to the forum, though I wish you had found us under better circumstances. I know I do my best to ensure all of my accounts are secure, and would be pretty upset if I found any amount of rewards redeemed without my authorization. I'm glad to hear as soon as you noticed, you reached out to see what could be done, and have followed up with us here when you didn't hear back as you were advised you would. 


If you haven't already, I would strongly encourage you to change your password to your account and the associated email account to ensure those are secure.
