Having so many rewards expire when you were unaware they expired at all would leave me pretty flabbergasted as well. I know if I let one slip by me, I feel like it’s quite the missed opportunity, so I can imagine how upset I would be over $420.
While points do not expire on active accounts, once converted to certificate, the certificates expire as they are ultimately coupons. Under our My Best Buy Terms, certificates typically have 60 days to be redeemed, unless otherwise noted. Once they have expired, they are unable to be reissued. To help ensure customers are aware a certificate has been issued, we send out email notifications that include the expiration date. As emails may be filtered, overlooked, or even blocked though, we recommend members manage their rewards from BestBuy.com, where certificates can be viewed as well.
