Thanks you for reaching out to us about your 40-inch Dynex TV! We’d also like to thank you for including the model number in your post, too! I’d be happy to recommend one more troubleshooting step for you prior to suggesting it may be time to recycle the unit.
Have you attempted to power cycle the TV? You’re able to do this by unplugging the unit for a while then plugging it back in. Additionally, we’d recommend trying to reset the TV back to the factory defaults as well. You should be able to do this by holding the power button down while plugging the unit back in. Alternatively, some sets may have a pin-hole reset option on the back of the unit that’s not documented in your owner’s manual. If your TV does have, we’d recommend using a pin to press it. If those options do not resolve the issue then we’d recommend looking into the option to recycle the unit.
