I have a four or five-year-old Dynex TV we use in the bedroom. We cut the cord and are using a large deep fringe outdoor antenna attached to our chimney. We are in the DFW area, just north of the DFW Airport. After the switch from analog to digital, all the local stations moved to UHF except our ABC affiliate, WFAA TV channel 8 (8 both virtual and digital). I have a signal amplifier plus a 1 by 4 distribution amp to split the signal.
When I do a scan, a get 96 channels including all of the subchannels. But high VHF WFAA doesn't show up. With our other sets, I can manually enter it and it will work almost 90% of the time. But I can't figure out how to bypass the scan function and manually enter a single channel on my Dynex. I can REMOVE channels, but not add on that the scan didn't find.
How can I manually ADD a channel on a Dynex? Thanks in advance

Hello vidoemckee,
Cutting the cord can be exciting, and much better on your wallet! Thank you for reaching out to us with your question regarding your antenna and a channel you’re missing. I’d be happy to see how we might be able to help.
Can you please share the model number of your Dynex TV? Once I have that detail I’d be able to review what options are available for scanning or adding channels. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
