refrigerator disaster

I went to my local store on Wednesday 8/7 and bought a refrigerator that was going to be delivered on 8/9.  The morning of 8/9 I got confirmation that delivery was set for 11-1.  At 2:30 I called because no one had showed up and was told someone would be calling me because it was on back order.  I went back to my local store and they said someone would call me within 24 hours.  On 8/10 I called customer service and waited on hold for 2 hours.  I received an email saying I would now have delivery 8/22. I returned to the store to speak to a manager and they looked for other refrigerator but nothing in white was coming in anytime soon.  We agreed I would get my money back and I would continue to look for a new refrigerator.  Customer service does the return and then says I should receive a check in 7-10 days.  What-I dont have a refrigerator and am out 2,000 dollars for another week.  I said then leave it for delivery on 8/22 and he said sorry I already returned it.  My options now are wait 7-10 days for refund, order a refrigerator in stainless steel or now wait until August 27th because new order would lose my 8/22 delivery.  What a mess.  I still haven't spoken to a human being from customer service, lost time from work, am without a working refrigerator and am stuck waiting until the end of August to maybe get a white refrigerator.  I look forward to speaking to someone on how to fix thisproblem.

Based on what you've described, between making visits to the store and contacting our phone support, you definitely put in every effort to ensure you had a speedy delivery but ultimately chose to return the refrigerator. Refunds do typically take a few business days and the time frame may vary based on the financial institution and form of payment. Most customers receive their refunds to debit or credit cards in 3-5 business days, while checks for cash or check refunds sometimes must be mailed out to be received in 10 business days. update- finally got my refrigerator today.  Several weeks after original delivery sey up.  Will never buy from the Newington,CT store again!
