late delivery notification

Yesterday, I received a phone call and email notification reminder of my Samsung refrigerator scheduled for delivery today.  I placed the order on November 23,and was relieved it would be here before Christmass. I made arrangements with a  neighbor to store frozen food, and filled coolers   with refrigerated food. Later on last night, I h appened to check  my email again and low and behold, an hour after the first email was sent anotherone was issued saying my new delivery date is JANUARY 16!!!  How can you possibly be this far off? Surely, someone must have known before 6:00 last night that there was SOME KIND of delay possible. I could see a day.....but three more weeks, after I was   waiting for a month,, and no warning whatsoever?  I went with Best Buy because I was told customer service was superior to  Home Depot. Clearly, this was a mistakee

Friday, December 21, 2018 at 6:14 p.m.

Email from Best Buy confirming scheduled appointment for next day between 2:00 and    6:00.p.m. Cleaned out refrigerator; stored frozen foods with neighbor.

Friday,  December 21, 2018 at 7:50 p.m.

Email from Best Buy saying “Appointment now scheduled for January 16, 2019, between 12:00 and 6:00 p.m.  Called customer service questioning month delay literally within two hours of initial delivery confirmation.. Customer Service blamed it on Samsung.

Changed Best Buy’s delivery day to Saturday, January 19, 2018 so I could be home. Received confirmation email.

Friday, January 4, 2019

Received TEXT; from Chase Bank Fraud Detection asking me to confirm a Best Buy purchase of $849.99.   I responded YES. Chase said  I had to redo transaction with Best Buy. As I had left town for the weekend, I said I would do it Monday, (next  business day) as I still had two weeks before delivery.

Monday, January 7, 2019

Called Best Buy to re-do transaction since bank’s fraud division had blocked the purchase.Customer service said order had been CANCELLED because it had been more than 24 hours since they’d emailed me on Friday. I said  not everyone lives on their email, that this was the next business day, and that I’d  been waiting already a month and half for the refrigerator. Basically, she said, “too bad,” that I would have to place a new  order and the current price was now $1079.

My initial online purchase was approved, your company notifies me of the following month of next day delivery before then delaying it another month……..yet now cancels my order because I didn’t check email between Friday and Monday. My credit card is valid and has not changed since the initial  transaction was made. That my bank questioned the purchase’s validity is a fluke.  All I want is the refrigerator I ordered two months ago at the price I ordered it at. I chose Best Buy because I heard positive things about customer service, and I am hoping they are true. I can provide the fraud alert notification if needed. .

late delivery notification

In reponse to a detailed chronology I provided regarding delivery delays and cancellations in an attempt to purchase a refrigerator., a Best Buy customer service rep offered me a $100 Gift Card.  This was on January 10 from "Tracy." Since then, I have not received a response despite several private messages to this person nor have I received the gift card. What do I need to do to get someone to follow through with this?
