formal complaint

I purchased a dishwasher on 8/11/20. The first delivery was scheduled for 9/16/20.  I received multiple emails and texts rescheduling my order between 9/1620 and 10/21/20.  Finally, on 10/21/20 I did not receive a reschedule email or text, so I took the day off from work and was expecting a delivery between 7am and 1pm, as stated in the text.  The truck never showed.  I called to see what happened and was told that the delivery department was not answering but that it showed that my dishwasher was not in stock.  Not only did I miss a day of work from a no show, but I have also been without a dishwasher for 2 1/2 months.  Needless to say I cancelled the order and am looking elsewhere.  The decent thing would have been to tell me it was out of stock, not to keep rescheduling. Very disappointed in best buy.

Although I wish your visit were under more fortunate circumstances, I do appreciate you taking the time to join our Community to share your experience with us.  Having to reschedule the delivery of a major appliance can be frustrating enough, so to hear you were not informed of the necessary reschedule until the last minute is especially disheartening.  I apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this experience has undoubtedly caused.


We can’t hope to improve the level of service we’re able to provide our customers without feedback like this, and as disappointing it is that you had to go through this experience to get to this point, I’m glad you were able to call our attention to this particular order.  It sounds like we’ve missed the mark on this order, however, I am optimistic your feedback will help us to provide our customers a better experience in the future, and I hope you’ll consider shopping with us again, so we might provide you the level of service I know we’re capable of.
