Washer and Dryer Install Nightmare!

We had Best Buy install an LG washer and dryer pair and frankly we're horrified at the aftermath and aren't even sure how safe we are in our new home.

 

First, it doesn't seem like the dryer was properly grounded and the washer was plugged into some kind of lint detector (left over from the previous owners that I explicitly asked them not to use) that wasn't rated to carry the proper voltage for the washer - both huge hazards that I'd imagine could have burned our house down. 

 

Second, the washing machine has caused significant water leaking and damage in our basement. Water has gone into and through what we've been told is a structurally important load-bearing wall, soaked into the carpet in one room and pooled/seeped into the adjoining storage room where it's soaked another wall. The only way for water damage to have occured like this is human error. My partner is VERY allergic to dust and mold, and now after just moving in we're packing up our car because the health and safety of my family has been put at risk. 

 

I never thought that as an elite plus member I'd regret trusting Best Buy to do a simple washer and dryer installation.
